The Details of Arirang and its songs' Backgrounds
Arirang song has joys and sorrows of the common people and grievances of we Koreans, and each provinces in Korea produced their specific Arirang songs from the bottom lives adjust in those period.
Arirang song can be classified by three big sorts.
First, it is a spiritual song, like gospel songs in this modern time, especially from black Americans.
Korea is not a Christianty nation, but in the national anthem of Korea has a phrase 'long live our nation by protction of God'.
Our people has served god from ancient times.
Apostle Paul named `called god who has not known you yet', this is God, Jesus Christ.
We wish introudce God who was not known and called correctly by Koreans is exactly Jesus. This people praised God through variety Arirang songs. God can be known as exactly by whom He was called just as a god by Koreans under unknown circumstance about Him.
In this point the Arirang Party has proper meaning not only by the initial but also by its appearancing reason.
Second, it is a labor song. particularly it is mountain song in Gangwondo province -East area of Korea-. Song of fire-field farmers' joy and sorrows who lived here and there of Gangwondo mountain area.
Perfoming labor song which Adam was recived from God's order about his labor duty. Ruined Adam had failed to do this, he was under moaning of `the cursed labor'.
By this curse the capitalism has made this world more difficult to live adding wicked acts using sweated labors which has originated from the capitalists'shallow-hearted minds. But we people of God who were born again by `Jesus', now we can perfom `original labor', `creative labor'and `blessed labor' and this labors have royal summons to spread them out to the whole world.
Not labor for what should eat or what should drink, it is a beautiful labor wanting first the kingdom of God and His righteousness too.
The Arirang Party is `labor party' doing practically this `beautiful labor' and God's royal summon. In this view point the title of `Arirang Party' is a fitting one.
Third, Arirang as folk song. It contains variety joys and sorrows of private person and our Korean people.
In Wonsan Arirang -east coast area of N.Korea- this song has a heartbreaking story which of poor mother and daughter who had suffered from poverty then undergoing the process that the daughter was sold to a man who earned rich only with high loan intrest of his money and they had left home town and got on a train to Seoul.
to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless.
What will you do on the day of reckoning, when disaster comes from afar? To whom will you run for help? Where will you leave your riches?
Nothing will remain but to cringe among the captives or fall among the slain. Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised.> Isaiah 10:1-4
Today the weak people of economical and social are under the suffer continually. Our party want to be a party that protecting God-given rights of like this weak, therefore Arirang is available as our party's title.
In 2 Samuel 23:3 , when we understand politician group of this words, it is a fitted party's title with Arirang.
When our party carry out this work with faithfully we believe that the blessing which was refered as followed words will be accomplished. 2 Samuel 23:4
As a political party which of actualrizing `Politics in the fear of God' and `Politics in righteousness for the people' in this land, Arirang is suitable using with a party's title which was one of the common people and weak's songs in Korea.
Arirang song which had composed by Korean Independence Army(during Japanese colony era in Korea) intented to nation's independent from Japan. Korea is not a fully independent nation still. This case is revealed clearly by the military operation right of Korea and our imoportant national affairs have been affected by the U.S.A. and neighboring big nations.
One reason of the above is that Korean Independence Army could not come to this nation as an occupation army such like U.S. army or Russian army in 1945.
The Arirang Party want to be a party which accomplishig true our people's independence. for this we succeed to the spirit of Korean Independece Army. In this view point, also, the Arirang Party is available as a party's title.
Once there were some oppinions that the name of the unified nation could be Arirang.
There are so many Korean people who were driven out of Korea by Japan and have lived outside of this nation since early 20thC and they are in difficult situations still.
`Arirang song' is for this people.
Many escapees from N. Korea meet realy big troubles in China. Korean goverment can not set forth reasonable voice even on this matter.
Our party want to be a party that can solve regrets of 6 million compatriots outside of Korea. Especially we try to solve our compatriots who live in China, Japan and S. Ameican nations.
The reason of Israel's pains from the Babylonian captivity were caused by this people's injustice. As same this our people had expirences in historically, this matter has not solved yet.
We can read at Jeremiah 29
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
I will be found by you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.">
The only way solving regrets of 6 million compatriots that our people must return to God.
Our party try to accomplish this headed by their regrets' songs.
In Deuteronomy 28:1-8, God tells to Israel how to receive blessings from Him.
This is not simply for Israel, but it could be a common principle toward all over the world.
All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God:
You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.
The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock--the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.
Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.
You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.
The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.>
Our party want to stand this people upon among the all nations in the world.
Removing during past time's regrets, we will build them as a proud people in the world trying to serve God as their Lord.
We pray that our people should be turned against corruptions at the end of the Yi Dynasty and should not be received curses again under the Japanese imperialistic rule.
